Dr. Anna L. Fernandes [Principal]
A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE
Dear Students and Faculty,
It is said Gratitude is the biggest Attitude. At this juncture as I finally bid farewell to each one of you I can reminiscence the time spent with you during my tenure from 2010-2011. The experience is so rich that I am so grateful to the Almighty, my parents and my teachers and mentors who carved me to be an Educator. Every year was a learning experience and there wasn’t any Turning Back. There are no regrets at all. I am grateful to the Management body then and now, my team members over the years, both teaching and non-teaching, parents of my students, my colleague Principals and Heads of Institutions at SNMS, all non-teaching staff in the campus and my biggest asset, my dear students.
I thank my students for teaching me patience, for making me techsavy and the daily positive strokes that motivated me in my journey at Sree Narayana Guru College of Education (B.Ed). I thank my Alumni for their constant reassurance that they are always there for the Institution. My prayers and good wishes are with you all always.
There is just one thing I want to tell you my dear Alumni and Students ‘Don’t let someone else’s opinion of you become your reality. Do not miss the opportunity of magnifying the strengths of others instead of their weaknesses. Snatch opportunities. There is no time to regret’.
I wish to share with all humility this little poem of my student Mr. Jaikishan Naudiyal of SYB.Ed on this Teacher’s Day which compliments my existence as an EDUCATOR. Thank you and God bless you
Anna Ma'am, so today is the day when I get the chance to thank you for all that you've done for me.. Your guidance and support have been invaluable throughout my journey. So, here's a poem for you, written from my heart.
A leader like you!
On that very first day, in your office, I stood,
Sent by Pavita teacher, uncertain if I could.
I thought to myself, “She’s so strict, so wise,”
A Principal whose strength I saw in your eyes.
Through my admission, you worked with such care,
Guiding me through each step, always there..
You taught me early, a leader must be,
Someone who inspires, sets others free.
This year I’ve learned, in moments of need,
It’s to you I turn, your support guaranteed!!
Your door always open, your words so kind,
In every challenge, peace I find.
As I become a teacher, here’s what I’ll do—
I’ll strive to be a leader, just like you!!
For you’ve shown me that being strong and fair
Means standing for others, always being there..
So on this Teacher’s Day, I just want to say,
Thank you, Anna Ma'am, in every way.
For guiding me, helping me see,
The teacher and leader I aspire to be.
- Jaikishan Naudiyal
