Alumni (Alumnus-masculine single and alumna-feminine single) is a graduate or former student of a particular school, college or university. Alumni meet is a gathering of passed out students of an institution and it is a place where the institution feels proud on seeing its successful alumni. Every school and college conduct an Alumni Meet where they call all passed out students and let them interact with each other. It is not only about maintaining a good relationship or connection with the passed-out students but also the Alumni meet makes an institute feel proud of its Alumni.

Alumni talks about their experience in the outside world and how they are managing their professional life. The meet also helps schools and colleges identify the most distinguished alumni. The aim of alumni meet is to help school or college staff recognize the contribution of their Ex-students in the professional world. This meeting gives ex-students the chance to gel with the people whom they have not met in years. Also, they can get connected with the principal and other school staffs. It is similar to other formal meetings or live classes and many schools or colleges ask their teachers or ex-students to deliver a speech on this occasion.

Objectives

1. The aim of the meet is to acknowledge the contribution made by ex-students.
2. To provide and disseminate information regarding their Alma Mater, its graduates, faculties and students to the Alumni.
3. To promote a sustained sense of belonging in Alma Mater among the alumni by being in regular contact with them.
4. To encourage, foster and promote close relations among the alumni themselves.
5. To provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day by organizing and coordinating reunion activities of the Alumni.
6. To let the alumni, acknowledge their gratitude to their Alma Mater.
7. To make the alumni contribute to the development of the College or the Institution and the promotion of its good name and reputation locally and internationally by inspiring them.
8. To make a direct communication link available between the Institution and its Alumni.
9. To organize and establish scholarship funds to help the needy and deserving students gain a professional degree.
